Arizona
These past 5 or so months in Arizona have included some of the best experiences and happiest times of my life. I am loving school and the social atmosphere as well as all the wonderful people that surround me. I have been having a hard time writing on here as well as in my journal so I am trying to figure out a way to encourage myself to write more frequently, but we'll see what happens. I had the best time these past few days with the Flake family. I was able to enjoy spending time with their family for the Thanksgiving weekend and it was a great and fun experience. I'm really grateful for their example to me and that they allowed me to spend time with them these past few days. I have several performances this week with the institute choir, so I am looking forward to that as well as to the end of the semester which is drawing near! I can't believe how fast time is going by! After finals I hope to be able to get a job to make some money and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can figure out a way to get money or something so that I can stay in school next semester as well! Anyway, everything is pretty awesome, but it's getting late and I better go to bed! Hopefully I write again soon! :)

Newfound Desires
So, school ended this week for me and at the beginning of next week I have E2 camp, so I am pretty excited about that. I have also decided that I wanted to get my blog back up and running again and hopefully write at least once a week on it! Today I went to the Phoenix museum of art with Anika and had a pretty good time. My favorite exhibit was the firefly exhibit. It had a bunch of hanging lights in a pitch black room and they were hanging at different lengths and there were mirrors on every side of the room. It was a really cool experience. We almost got lost in there for a bit, which was fun as well. Anyway, I highly reccomend that exhibit to anyone that comes to the Phoenix area!

Snow Day!
Yesterday was the second Monday in a row that we had school off because of snow, which was awesome, but at the same time they now have to reschedule the blood drive. It would have been awesome if it was today because today is national square root day and the last time I donated blood was on 8/8/08. Maybe I will just wait until pi day instead. Haha. (Yes, I am a huge geek and forever will be!)

College Woes
So, I have been accepted to both BYU-I and ASU but I am having a terrible time deciding which one to attend. I am leaning towards ASU but both schools have so much to offer and BYU-I is way cheaper. This weekend I plan on fasting and praying about it and hopefully receiving an answer so that I can get ready for orientation and buy my plane tickets to ASU in April if I have to. My intended major is aerospace engineering, although BYU-I does not currently offer that as a major.
At least one good thing in my life lately is that I am still slowly losing weight. Over the past month and a half or so I have lost 18 pounds and I am half way to what I want to be for a weight for graduation! I am using an amazing website called sparkpeople and I highly reccomend it to everyone. You can keep track of your calories, what you eat, your exercise, and there is a great community of people to chat with on the website. The site has you set realistic goals which is another plus! If you do sign up, my username is jugglerchic so that you can tell them I referred you! ;-)
Anyway, I can't wait for school to be over but I have to pick up the pace on doing homework because I keep falling behind. Hopefully at the end of the school year I will be able to post more often on here! Toodles!

Math Geek
So, if you know me even just a little bit you probably know that I am a huge math geek! Anyway, I was out on the web today and decided to look up some math jokes to use, and I found some that I just love! Some of them I had heard before, and thought they were really funny and thought it would be useful to put them here!
A mathematician, a biologist and a physicist are sitting in a street café watching people entering and leaving the house on the other side of the street. First they see two people entering the house. Time passes. After a while they notice three people leaving the house. The physicist says, "The measurement wasn't accurate." The biologist says, "They must have reproduced." The mathematician says, "If one more person enters the house then it will be empty."
An astronomer, a physicist and a mathematician are on a train in Scotland. The astronomer looks out of the window, sees a black sheep standing in a field, and remarks, "How odd. Scottish sheep are black." "No, no, no!" says the physicist. "Only some Scottish sheep are black." The mathematician rolls his eyes at his companions' muddled thinking and says, "In Scotland, there is at least one field, containing at least one sheep, at least one side of which appears black from here."
A sociologist, a physicist and a mathematician are all given equal amounts of fencing, and are asked to enclose the greatest area. The sociologist pauses for a moment and decides to enclose a square area with his fence. The physicist, realizing he can fence off a greater amount of land with the same amount of fencing, promptly sets his fence in the form of a circle, and smiles. "I'd like to see you beat that!" he says to the mathematician. The mathematician, in response, takes a very small piece of his own fencing, and wraps it around himself, proclaiming, "I define my location to be outside of the fence!"
Two mathematicians are in a bar. The first one says to the second that the average person knows very little about basic math. The second one disagrees, and claims that most people can cope with a reasonable amount of math. The first mathematician goes off to the washroom, and in his absence the second calls over the waitress. He tells her that in a few minutes, after his friend has returned, he will call her over and ask her a question; all she has to do is answer, "One third x cubed." She agrees, and goes off mumbling to herself. The first guy returns and the second proposes a bet to prove his point. He says he will ask the blonde waitress an integral, and the first laughingly agrees. The second man calls over the waitress and asks, "What is the integral of x squared?" The waitress says, "One third x cubed." Then, while walking away, she turns back and says, "Plus a constant!"
